30-day smoking rate and smoking status of e-cigarette users

The figures below show the smoking status of ever, past 30-day, and daily users of e-cigarettes, respectively (Figure 11.22; Figure 11.23; Figure 11.24). Dual use of cigarettes and e-cigarettes is indicated by the roughly one-third of e-cigarette users who reported current smoking (ranging from 25.6% of daily users to 36.6%^a of past 30-day users). Never-smokers comprised the largest segment of ever users of e-cigarettes, but only one-quarter of past 30-day users, and less than one-fifth of daily users. Former smokers made up about one-third of ever- and past 30-day users, but more than half of daily users.
